Serve and Protect CU Relaunch ‘Play & Give’ Lottery

August 2022, saw the relaunch of the ‘Friends of Serve and Protect’ private lottery – giving their members a chance to win cash prizes, whilst also raising funds for good causes close to their hearts.

The previous lottery, which had over 2,000 members participants, generated a monthly revenue of £3,600 – £2,000 of which was paid back to members in monthly cash prizes. However, with a legacy brand – limited presence on the website and onboarding – growth had slowed, prompting the relaunch of the Friends of Serve and Protect ‘Play & Give’ Lottery.

The relaunch involved:

–        A refreshed ‘Friends of Serve and Protect’ Committee

–        Development of the ‘Play & Give’ Brand

–        Updated Terms and Conditions

–        Review of monthly Cash Prizes and special draws

–        Identifying nominated charities to pledge future support

–        Creation of accessible landing page and onboarding for members

–        A launch campaign and ongoing communications shared across Email, SMS and Mobile App

Six months on and there are now over 3,326 participants – generating revenue of over £5,400 per month. Based on current participation over £64,000 will be generated in the next 12 months – to give back to members in the form of cash prizes or to help support good causes close to their hearts.
