Credit unions Celebrate Success at Consumer Credit Awards 2026

Credit unions across Great Britain have been recognised for their outstanding service to members after taking home a number of awards at the 2026 Consumer Credit Awards.

The awards, organised by Smart Money People, are decided by consumers and are based on customer reviews, making the recognition a strong endorsement of the experiences being delivered by credit unions to their members. More than 291,000 reviews were submitted across the 21 award categories this year.

Enterprise Credit Union was the standout credit union winner, retaining its Credit Union of the Year title for the second consecutive year. It also won Best Credit Union (North) and Best Credit Union Savings Provider, recognising its continued commitment to delivering a high-quality service and products for its members.

Other credit unions also achieved success across the awards:

• London Capital Credit Union – Best Credit Union (South)
• Central Credit Union – Best Credit Union Loan Provider
• Manchester Credit Union – Highly Commended, Best Credit Union (North)

The awards highlight the breadth and quality of credit union provision across the country, with credit unions recognised for their savings, lending and overall member service.

The Consumer Credit Awards are now in their eleventh year, with the 2026 awards recognising organisations across the consumer credit industry.
