All Together Money’s Head of Member Engagement, Debbie Smith-Hands has been representing the Association at the Reimagine 2026 Conference in Orlando, Florida.
Hosted by National Association of Credit Union Service Organisations (NACUSO), the annual Reimagine conference brings together credit union leaders, innovators and Credit Union Service Organisations (CUSOs) from across the United States. The event focuses on collaboration, innovation and the role of shared services in driving growth, resilience and improved member outcomes.
CUSOs are a well-established feature of the US credit union system, enabling organisations to collaborate on shared infrastructure, technology, lending platforms and specialist services. This cooperative approach has supported significant scale and innovation across the sector, offering valuable insights for credit unions in Great Britain as they explore similar models to strengthen the movement and expand access to fair financial services.
Debbie’s attendance forms part of All Together Money’s ongoing commitment to learning from international best practice and exploring how proven models like the CUSO system could be adapted to support sustainable growth and deeper collaboration across GB credit unions.
Speaking from the conference, Debbie said: “It’s been a fantastic week at the NACUSO Reimagine conference, representing All Together Money and the wider credit union movement on a real learning journey. I’ve already gained so much insight into how the CUSO system in the US has enabled credit unions to achieve genuine transformational growth through collaboration.
“What’s been especially valuable is seeing how open and connected the sector is here – with credit unions and CUSOs from across America coming together, sharing ideas and actively wanting to support one another’s progress. It’s sparked some really exciting thinking about how we could take similar approaches forward in Great Britain.
“ I’m incredibly grateful to the teams at Mission Brands Consulting and NACUSO for their support in making this visit possible, and for helping me connect with so many key people in such a short space of time.
“Opportunities like this are so important – learning directly from our counterparts in the US helps us bring back practical ideas, build relationships and continue strengthening the movement at home. I’m looking forward to continuing these conversations when I’m back in GB.”
All Together Money will continue to engage with partners and stakeholders across the sector to explore how collaborative models, including the development of CUSO-style approaches, could support innovation, efficiency and long-term sustainability for credit unions across Great Britain.
