The Credit Union Foundation has officially opened applications for the CU Futures programme 2026/27, marking the 11th year of supporting emerging leaders from across the credit union movement.
Delivered by the Credit Union Foundation, CU Futures continues to play a vital role in developing the next generation of talent, equipping participants with the skills, confidence and networks needed to drive the sector forward.
The latest cohort will build on a strong legacy, 101 CU Futures have graduated through the programme from 50 credit unions. These graduates join a growing alumni network that is already helping to shape the future of credit unions across the movement.
Programme Manager Jake Hatch, himself a former CU Futures participant and graduate, highlighted the programme’s lasting impact “Having gone through CU Futures myself, I know first-hand the difference it can make. It was instrumental in my own development, both professionally and personally. I’m incredibly proud to now be leading the programme and supporting the next group of participants as they take this step in their journey.”
Jake added that CU Futures continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of the sector, while staying true to its core aim of nurturing future leaders from within.
Applications are now open, and individuals interested in taking part in CU Futures 2027 are encouraged to apply on the application form here. Further information about the programme is available here.
