Paul Norgrove Joins WOCCU Board as GB Delegation Gathers in Sydney

Serve & Protect Credit Union CEO and former All Together Money President Paul Norgrove has been appointed to the Board of the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), as representatives from across the GB credit union movement joined international colleagues at the 2026 World Credit Union Conference in Sydney, Australia.

Paul’s appointment provides further representation for the GB credit union movement on the international stage and comes as more than 2,400 credit union and co-operative finance professionals representing over 39 countries gathered in Sydney for one of the movement’s largest global events.

Paul, who served as President of All Together Money until April 2026, is CEO of Serve & Protect Credit Union and has been a longstanding advocate for the role of credit unions in supporting their members and communities. His appointment to the WOCCU Board will provide an opportunity to contribute his experience of the GB movement to the organisation’s work representing and supporting credit unions internationally.

All Together Money Chief Executive Matt Bland was among the GB delegation attending the World Credit Union Conference, which was organised by WOCCU and co-hosted with Australia’s Customer Owned Banking Association (COBA) at ICC Sydney from 19–22 July.

The conference brought together international speakers and sector leaders through plenary sessions, educational breakouts and networking opportunities, with discussions spanning the future of co-operative finance, innovation, leadership and the importance of greater collaboration across borders.

As part of the main conference programme, Matt joined a panel of international speakers for a plenary session focused on collaboration and how credit unions can work together, both nationally and internationally, to share expertise, respond to common challenges and strengthen the movement.

Reflecting on the conference and Paul’s appointment, Matt said: “It has been a real privilege to attend the World Credit Union Conference here in Sydney and to spend time with so many colleagues, friends and peers from across the global credit union movement.

“I was particularly pleased to join fellow speakers for a plenary session focused on collaboration and the opportunities that come from working more closely together. Collaboration has always been at the heart of the credit union movement, and at a time when our sector is navigating both significant opportunities and shared challenges, there is enormous value in exchanging ideas, learning from one another and looking at where we can combine our experience and expertise to achieve more for the members and communities we serve.

“It is also fantastic news to see Paul appointed to the WOCCU Board. Having worked closely with Paul through his time as President of All Together Money, I know the experience, commitment and passion for the credit union movement that he will bring to the role. His appointment is something the whole GB movement can be proud of and ensures our voice and experience will continue to contribute to conversations about the future of credit unions globally.
