The latest CU Futures cohort continued its development programme with two days of training in London, hosted at Arbuthnot Latham’s head office.
The September sessions marked the third consecutive year that Arbuthnot Latham has welcomed the CU Futures programme to its London offices, continuing its support for the next generation of credit union leaders. The two-day programme featured sessions designed to develop participants’ leadership, communication and professional skills.
Day one was led by Neil Dixon from the Pacific Institute, while day two saw Liz Barclay deliver presentation and media training, helping participants build their confidence and effectiveness when communicating with different audiences.
Lee Summers, Senior Commercial Banker at Arbuthnot Latham & Co., Limited, said: “We are delighted to host the Credit Union Foundation’s CU Futures Programme at our Finsbury Circus Head Office for a third consecutive year.
“We look forward to welcoming the next generation of credit union leaders and continuing our support for a sector that plays such an important role in helping members achieve their financial goals and strengthening communities across the country.”
The London training forms part of the wider CU Futures programme, which provides participants with opportunities to develop their skills, broaden their networks and gain insight from experienced leaders across the credit union movement and wider financial services sector.
The programme is supported by the Credit Union Foundation, which this year is celebrating 25 years since its formation.
All Together Money Chief Executive, Matt Bland said the programme provided an important opportunity to invest in the future of the movement. Matt said: “As the Credit Union Foundation celebrates 25 years since its formation, there could be no better way to mark that milestone than by supporting another cohort of talented young leaders through this prestigious programme.
“We are incredibly grateful to Arbuthnot Latham for their continued support of CU Futures and for welcoming this year’s cohort to their offices. The programme is made possible through the support of a range of funders and partners, whose commitment enables us to provide participants with valuable opportunities, experiences and connections that can have a lasting impact on both their careers and the wider movement.”
