Last month, the staff team at 1st Class Credit Union, raised under £3,000, climbing Ben Nevis to help raise awareness and funds for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) Charity and for The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for Sick Kids in Glasgow.
“We want to say a huge thank you to everyone that donated to our cause,” says CEO of 1st Class, Gayle Adnyana.
Most cases of ALL develop in children, teenagers, and young adults. ALL is the most common type of leukaemia that affects children. Around 85% of the cases that affect children happen to those younger than the age of 15.
“The staff team have been hugely inspiring and raised money for charities which have affected them on a personal level” Gayle added. “I’m extremely proud of their decision to choose these charities and to push themselves to achieve something so challenging.”
