Citysave and Fusion Credit Unions Merge to Boost Financial Access in the West Midlands
Citysave Credit Union and Fusion Credit Union have completed a merger, which is a significant development in strengthening financial inclusion across the region. The combined organisation aims to better serve individuals and businesses with fair, transparent, and community-focused services.

Citysave Credit Union and Fusion Credit Union have completed a merger, which is a significant development in strengthening financial inclusion across the region. The combined organisation aims to better serve individuals and businesses with fair, transparent, and community-focused services.
The merger, effective 6 June 2025, integrates all Fusion members into Citysave’s operations. It expands Citysave’s reach throughout Birmingham, Sandwell, Warwickshire, Cannock Chase, South Staffordshire, Solihull, Redditch, Bromsgrove, and Lichfield.
Citysave CEO, Sean Lynch highlighted that the merger strengthens the combined credit union’s ability to offer a much-needed alternative to high-cost and predatory lenders: “By combining our strengths, we are better positioned to offer a lifeline to those who might otherwise fall victim to predatory lending.
“We’re committed to offering fair loans, rewarding savings, and the tools needed to manage money with confidence.”
