The London & South of England Forum is pleased to present an online seminar sharing credit union experience on getting the best returns on investments, while also managing liquidity, and doing both in compliance with the PRA rules. Lots of credit unions still have too much cash earning nothing in the bank, and some don’t understand how the PRA capital rules apply. Come to this seminar to learn how to improve your credit union’s income from bank deposits and investment funds in compliance with the PRA rules.
We are delighted to confirm that we will be joined for this event by Paul A Jones from the Swoboda Research Centre, and Matt Bland, All Together Money CEO. Paul was involved in the publication of the 2018 research paper “A Business Case for a Credit Union Central Finance Facility”. After the investment best practice sharing part of the meeting, Paul will outline what a “Central Finance Facility” could do, and Matt will share his thoughts on this topic, leading into a discussion of the possible benefits and whether there is a pressing need for such an organisation in the UK. A motion instructing All Together Money to consider the case for a Central Finance Facility was passed at the All Together Money AGM in 2024 and this seminar will provide an opportunity to engage and listen to credit union views on this topic of national interest.
