ABCUL & British Credit Unions Attend Global Credit Union Conference in USA

The CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) is the premier event for political impact in the US credit union industry.  It gathers thousands of industry leaders from across the US and the globe, this year representatives from ABCUL, Enterprise Credit Union and Serve and Protect CU visited Washington, D.C. for the event.

Delegates heard a range of expert speakers talk about the challenges and opportunities facing the sector, as well as some inspiring examples of credit unions making a real difference to the lives of people in disadvantaged communities.

Expert speakers in workshops helped credit unions understand how to approach day-to-day working life within the political, media and business of the financial sector and how we can apply their experience into a credit union.

CEO of ABCUL, Robert Kelly, accompanied the delegation to Washington, he said: “We made some great connections during the conference and look forward to developing the skills and experiences we gained at GAC back home.  I look forward to sharing our experiences with members at the ABCUL Annual Conference next week.”
